Vector Pro Launch Monitor Setup

Posted : admin On 03.11.2019

Anybody seen or know anything about this Accusport Golf Vector X VX-100 (Vector Pro set up.

Very Inaccurate and Very Poor Experience Bought the product and had the absolute worst experience with their sales manager Andy Allen at Accusport trying to buy the product, no return calls after repeated tries, they email only. We explained the product was for our family of 6 to enjoy and improve our game, again only through email. I thought it was weird they couldn't call considering it was $3500+ package. Finally got the product and it was terribly sporadic with readings. Tried to work with customer support 3 times including the weekend, no luck and had to take advantage of the 30 day return policy posted on their site for the product, cant afford to have that kind of money in a box.

So, very graciously expressed the product wanst working for us, doesnt catch slow swing speeds (kids) and wanted to return. The water got even colder and we received a NO RETURNS. The sales manager Andy Allen at Accusport said no and couldnt get any return emails from any of the sr management. We had to fight with them all the way to the president and through our Credit Card company who went to the site, saw the 30 day policy and refunded us. Only after then did they say ok and charged us 5%. We knew they would but its a lot to pay to try a product, it seems a little steep almost $300 including ship. They took a full 7 days and an angry email to get them to do the actual refund after they received it in their facility.

My opinion, stay away. We took the highroad all the way hoping someone would see the insanity until the last email from us and we simply said they were the worst experience we had ever had. Still no more contact from them. Hope this saves another golfer and thank whoever has this site because it makes it a wonderful place to share some of these experiences.

Admittedly no, I had not used the Vector before and used this site and a bunch of others to do the research ahead of time. We were adding it to our or honestly my “golf cave”, a converted attic in the house. I have a PSProSwing and its great but doesn’t give trajectory because it cant measure ball spin and so on.

I use a Trackman with my lessons at my course and couldn’t imagine it too tough. So, without one around me, I made the purchase because of their return policy backing me up and it was a mistake. It certainly could have been me, but if was my error, I think we could have solved it when I called Tech support, I had sent them all the diagnostics they requested and they didn’t seem alarmed by the setup.

They took photo attachments that come out of the unit and no change. Two big issues I found, slow speed did not register properly or at all. Second, consistency and accuracy. I would be in a session with the p3pro, my driver speed is 109-112 and ball speed in the 155-162 range giving 260-275.

The vector at times has the swing speed the same with distance of 100yrds because it cannot capture the photo of the ball to measure spin properly. Another example, my 7iron club speed is 85-87 avg and ball speed 126-129 resulting in 165 avg but the vector pro had me at 200yrds with similar speeds because it couldn’t measure spin properly, had it from -100 all the way to 15,000 for the 7iron. Oh, and the setup, it captured clearly both balls in the window and line perfectly. I went through 8 new PRO-V;s making sure it was capturing properly.

We wanted or I did:) something over the winter to help with trajectory, spin, and that’s something the P3Pro doesn’t have, and this didn’t either. For a better player, it can be, but it's really just about the lie you create for yourself and how sensitive sand can be to pure contact over even grass/dirt. As you probably know, Frankie, we don't list fairway bunker shots with a high Separation Value®, so practicing out of fairway bunkers for those shots is almost a waste of time. Practicing smooth bunker shots from a relatively flat, good lie that's just enhancing the feedback on the strikes. Like I said, good for a higher level player.

Very frustrating if you're not. Be wary that it can train you to pick the ball, too. TST Blog Entries.

So as thought, HID went mental about my recent purchase! Lol Even when the price I told her was half that I paid:whistle: Gutted to be fair, as it's a great bit of kit. I took it to my local range and set it up in the training bay (where there was power) and with a bit of initial fiddling with the setup I was bashing balls and getting readings. If it doesn't sell, I think the garage is getting cleaned out and a practice net is going up! This is a real deal Launch Monitor, if your serious about improving your game and analyzing your stats then this is for you. It MEASURES; Ball Speed: within 0.5 MPH Launch Angle: within 0.2 degrees Back Spin: within 150 RPM Side Spin: within 150 RPM Side Angle: within 2 degrees and CALCULATES; Down Range Off Line Flight Time Max Height Total Distance For more info go to To see it in action Here's a couple of tips that I got from Accusport; Calibration has nothing to do with where you hit the ball from.

Vector Launch System

Calibration is about making sure the brightness is right and the lens are physically aligned in their mounts. For calibration get yourself a three inch black rubber tee use it for calibration only. You shouldn't have to move the vector pro just leave it in its normal hitting position. Take the three (must be ) black tee put it on top of the mat directly in front of the cameras 14 inches away. Now when you calibrate the ball will be high enough to see a complete ball in both your camera windows at the same time. Do your brightness and focus adjustments then calibrate.

It should say calibration successful or just close. Never tilt the unit just find a tee tall enough to see the complete ball in both cameras at the same time. It comes with the software disc, but you can actually download a slightly newer version from Accusport site for free. Professional edition salesforce. The version you need for this unit is Vector Pro 2.1.1 software (not VSeries) Whats included Vector Pro Unit Perspex Protection shields Calibration Chart All Cables and power leads 3' Tee Manuals Camera focus tool Box Any Negative's? - I like being honest Initial setup and loading the software took some time. The specs of laptop apparently are quiet critical, but I didn't have any probs with my Win7 laptop. It's supposed to have a 2 hour battery life but I think they have lost there charge as it doesn't hold power unplugged, but to be honest I would always use the lead anyway.

Accusport said they would replace, but I would have to ship to USA and back, plus cost of parts as out of warranty. As you can understand not really worth it as it works fine on the power. Also, one of the rubber grommets on the protection shield plugs has gone, but this doesn't effect anything. Couple of minor cosmetic marks to casing and that's being picky!
